CREWS BATTLE COLD TEMPERATURES IN EARLY MORNING BLAZE |

Farmington: 12/29/11 - 03:45 Units were dispatched to the Knowlton Corner Road in Farmington for a reported fully involved structure fire. Tower 3, Engine 1, Engine 2, Squad 1 & Rescue 1 responded to the scene. Upon arrival the huge barn was fully involved with fire. Crews battled to keep the fire from extending into the main house. Crews were successful and only the vinyl siding was damaged on the main home. Crews were on scene until around noon thursday morning. FFD would like to thank the mutual aid departments: Wilton, Temple, Industry, East Dixfield, New Sharon, & Strong fire departments. Fire units returned to the scene in the evening to extinguish hot spots.

ENGINE 1 RESPONDS TO 10-55 TRUCK VS HOUSE |

New Sharon: 11/29/11 - Units were dispatched to the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon for a reported 10-55 Truck vs House. Engine 1 & Rescue 1 responded to the scene. Upon arrival units set up traffic control. The house was being moved and started to come off the trailer it was on. When it did, it struck an oncoming truck. Driver of the truck had minor injuries and was transported to FMH. Farmington units stayed on scene until a crane was used to get the house back onto the trailer. |

MUTUAL AID TO NEW VINEYARD FOR SAW MILL FIRE |

New Vineyard: 11/14/11 - Units were dispatched to the New Vineyard Saw Mill for a reported structure fire. Engine 2, Tower 3, Rescue 1 responded to the scene. Upon arrival units performed an interior attack on the fire. Crews in the Tower vented the building. Farmington units cleared the scene in about 5 hours.

MCI DRILL AT THE FARMINGTON FAIR GROUNDS |

| FARMINGTON: 09/10/11 -08:00 Fire, EMS, Police took part in a MCI (Mass Casualty Incident) at the Farming on Fair grounds. The drill's scenario was a collapse at the fairs grand stands. There were 30 volunteer victims that took part in the drill. All the local agencies worked together to rescue the victims. The drill was put on by the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency. The drill was great practice for all agencies to work together. | ![]() |

| FARMINGTON: 08/27/11 -15:30 Units were dispatched to the Town Farm Road for a reported 2 vehicle 10-55 with PI (personal injury). Engine 1 & Squad 1 responded to the scene. Upon arrival units assisted the drivers of the vehicles and set up traffic control. Farmington Fire units cleared the scene in about an hour. | ![]() |
